The Progressive Sabon Tasha Youth in Kaduna have urged Governor Uba Sani to consider Umar Barde as the flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Chikun-Kajuru Federal constituency at the upcoming bye-elections in the state.
The Spokesperson of thbwgroup, Jerry Galadima Dan’Iya while addressing a press conference yesterday in Kaduna pressed on the need for the government of malam Uba Sani to consider and give the ticket for the APC flag bearer in the next coming bye-election to a more pragmatic and dedicated servant of the people.
He said, “As members of progressive sabon tasha youth, it is both an honour and a responsibility to communicate salient strides made under the visionary leadership of Rt. Hon. Umar Barde as member representing the good people of Chikun-Kajuru Federal constituency. This move from the progressive sabon tasha youth is timely, but not without its challenges.”
He said the move signifies the unwavering commitment of the youth to making difficult decisions in the interest of the people and their greater good.
He added, “This press conference aligns with the vision of the progressive sabon tasha youth for a better Chikun-Kajuru federal constituency that thrives on efficiency, transparency, and responsible governance and the group will work tirelessly to ensure that the benefits of this decision is felt by all citizens in Chikun- kajuru federal constituency.
“Similarly, there is currently a collaboration between the progressive sabon tasha youth and the progressive youth for Chikun- kajuru federal constituency to as a matter of state concern, to plead with the government of his excellency Sen. Uba Sani to give a smooth level playing ground for the contestant in the next coming APC primaries election by not zoning the APC ticket to a particular local government.
“Furthermore, the progressive sabon tasha youth is not for, and will not support the move for power shift to kajuru local government. It is to this that as a group in sabon tasha, we are appealing to the government of his excellency Sen. Uba Sani and the APC party in Kaduna state to please consider a candidate that can win an election and is willing to take the people to the promised land.”
He appealed to the Kaduna state government and APC party should, in case, it wants to go for a consensus candidate in order to bring peace and tranquillity in the party choose someone that is has the vision of the current state government in other to bring and connect the people to the centre government so as to benefit from the dividend of democracy.
