I am honored to share the remarkable achievement of Near Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting education, health, food, and water initiatives. Their latest milestone is the construction of the largest borehole at Federal University Gashua, featuring 88 head taps that will provide clean water to students and surrounding communities.
For the past two years, I have had the privilege of working with Near Foundation, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of its initiatives across Nigeria. The organization’s commitment to addressing basic human needs has been unwavering, and this borehole project is a testament to that dedication.
The Federal University Gashua borehole project was designed to tackle the pressing issue of water scarcity on campus and in nearby communities. With 88 head taps, this landmark project will:
Provide clean water to all students and staff of the university
Benefit neighboring communities, improving health and livelihoods
Enhance academic productivity and focus
Foster a healthier environment, reducing water-borne diseases
This incredible project is dedicated to the legacy of the late Sheikh Muhammad Fethullah Gülen, a renowned scholar who devoted his life to advocating for peace, love, tolerance, and education. His selfless work inspires the foundation’s mission to uplift humanity. May this borehole project quench the thirst for knowledge and physical sustenance for generations, reflecting Sheikh Gülen’s enduring spirit.
