Troops Eliminate Eight Bandits in Kaduna Operation

 

The Kaduna State Government has announced that troops on fighting patrol have neutralized eight bandits in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.

 

According to operational feedback, the troops conducted a patrol to the Kampanin Doka general area, where they encountered bandits.

 

Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, reported on Thursday that the troops promptly engaged the bandits and neutralized seven of them.

 

“After securing and searching the area, the troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, eight AK-47 magazines (four empty and four loaded with a total of 120 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition), one magazine carrier, six motorcycles, three mobile phones, two Baofeng radio sets, and three pairs of civilian clothes,” he said.

 

During the concluding phase of the patrol, the troops made further contact with bandits in the Gayam general area, neutralizing one additional bandit. Other bandits are believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.

 

Governor Senator Uba Sani praised the security forces for their efforts and commended the troops, led by Major General MLD Saraso of the 1 Division Nigerian Army and Operation Whirl Punch (OPWP), for their notable success and dedication.
