In the wake of the Kaduna protest tragedy, Aisha Hussaini, the grieving widow of 65-year-old Hussaini Bamalli, has shared her profound sorrow and desperation.

Her husband, who was not involved in the protests, was tragically killed while visiting his sick daughter at the hospital last week Wednesday which was the first day of the protest.

Aisha, a resident of Abakpa in Kaduna North, described the devastating impact of her husband’s death on their family.

With three wives and eleven children depending on him, Hussaini Bamalli’s passing has left the family in dire straits, struggling to meet basic needs.

In an emotional interview Aisha recounted finding her husband’s lifeless body after receiving a distressing call.

She revealed that they are now without food, money for rent, or any means of support. All of Hussaini’s siblings have also passed away, leaving him as the sole caretaker of their orphans.

Aisha’s niece, Aisha Bamalli, echoed the plea for justice, emphasizing the critical role her late uncle played in the family. With his death, the remaining children face an uncertain future, lacking resources and support.

The family continues to call on the government for urgent assistance and justice.
