The Controller of Correctional Service (NCoS) and the newly created Zamfara State Government Substance Abuse Control and Human Trafficking Agency will partner to reduce substance abuse and curtail human trafficking in the state.
During a courtesy visit to the Correctional Service Zamfara State Command Controller, (Dr) Umar Galadima, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Pharmacist Ishaq Ibrahim Anka, emphasized the purpose was to familiarize and collaborate with NCoS in reducing substance abuse and curbing human trafficking across the state.
Pharmacist Ishaq Anka explained that the Agency would strengthen its cooperation with NCoS towards the prevention of drug and substance abuse menace in the state as disclosed by Mustapha Abubakar, ASC1 Correctional Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Zamfara State Command in a statement issued to Rural Post.
Dr. Umar Galadima, Controller of Zamfara State Command, affirmed that the Nigerian Correctional Service is ready to partner with any agency to achieve the set objectives.
He further explained that NCoS focuses on reforming, rehabilitating, and reintegrating offenders back into society who are legally interned in the custodial centers, and will continue to collaborate in that direction
