Kaduna Journalists,  Families Regain Freedom after abduction

Two journalists abducted in Kaduna, AbdulGafar Alabelewe, Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel Kaduna, and Abduraheem Aodu of the Blue Print Newspaper, along with three family members, have regained their freedom.

 They were kidnapped from their residence in Danhono 2, Millennium City.

Asma’u Yawo Halilu, Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Council, confirmed their release in a statement issued on Saturday.

Halilu expressed gratitude to the Kaduna State Command CP, the NSA’s office, the DSS DG, the Inspector General of Police, the Kaduna State government, NUJ President, and all Nigerians who prayed during this ordeal.

“We will soon announce when they will join us in Kaduna so that we could visit, rejoice, and thank God with them,” she said.
