Emir of Zazzau Etsu Nupe Back Olukoyede on Anti- Graft Fight

 Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali and the Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar 

have both expressed total support for the Executive Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede in his fight against the menace of economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption.

The emirs expressed  their support separately while playing hosts to Acting Zonal Director, Kaduna Zonal Command,  DCE Dr. Benedict Ubi and his team  on  courtesy visits to the two Emirates recently.

Ruralpostng learn the EFCC Kaduna Zonal Command is in charge of Niger and Kaduna state.

The Emirs charged the entire team of the EFCC to always put the fear of God in their minds  in the discharge of their duties while acknowledging the good work the Commission is doing for the nation, saying they will not relent in putting in efforts to support the EFCC and other law enforcement agencies in stamping out corruption and other forms of criminalities.

Emir Bamali,  in his address,  also commended the EFCC for the transformation and changes the Commission has made professionally especially with regards to engagement with the public.

Etsu Abubakar prays for God’s guidance on the work the EFCC is doing and assures that the doors of the Niger Emirate will always be open to the Commission.

Earlier in his speech, the Acting Zonal Director Benedict Ubi said  EFCC needed the blessings of the traditional rulers in carrying out its assigned mandate.

He  also call on them to deepen their partnership with the Commission  through adequate promotion of ethics, values and behavioural change among their subjects. 

He further said that the anti-corruption drive was guided strictly by the rule of law, accountability and transparency.
