Petroleum Tanker Drivers intact, indivisible..Kaduna Unit Chairman

Kaduna, Nov 27,2023(NAN) Alhaji Abdullahi Haruna, the Kaduna Unit Chairman, Petroleum Tanker Driver’s (PTD), on Monday said the association was intact and indivisible under the leadership of the new National Chairman, Augustine Egbon.

Haruna made this known at a press briefing shortly after interacting with the members of  Petroleum Tanker Drivers at the Kaduna Refinery.

He explained that PTD branch of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) had elected new leaders on October 31 at Ibadan, Oyo State.

Haruna said that the PTD branch of NUPENG has four zones; Port Harcourt, Warri, Lagos and Kaduna Zone, in which 172 units participated in the election.

“It is on record that the former National Deputy Chairman ,  Dayayyabu Garga had written his resignation letter since 2022.

“This is due to his election as she Chairman, Kanam Local Government of Plateau and had since been approved by the National Secretary of NUPENG,”he said.

The chairman urged the public and members to disregard any contrary information coming from any other source other than the recognized leadership of PTD in which he is an Ex-Officio. .(NAN)
