Members of the Kaduna Vigilantes Service (KADVS) successfully thwarted a bandit attack in Danmaawayi village, located in the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The vigilant personnel also achieved the recovery of 144 rustled cows from the bandits on October 10, 2023.
A senior KADVS commander, who prefers to remain anonymous, disclosed that the stolen cows were intercepted in the Gulbala region.
According to him, the bandits were initially spotted in Bakale village at approximately 7:00 pm before they proceeded to Fatika and then to Gulbala Forest.
“They were planning to launch attacks in the Katsina, Giwa, and Zaria regions. However, they targeted Danmahawayi at around 11:00 pm, where they rustled 144 cattle. Our KADVS team intercepted them and successfully recovered all the stolen cattle at Gulbala,” he reported.
