Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto state has warned sole administrators of local government areas to always be present within their respective regions.
However, the Governor threatened to dismiss any administrator who stays outside their designated area of responsibility.
“Please remain at your place of work. My government will not tolerate negligence and absenteeism,” he emphasized.
During a meeting with the sole administrators on Monday, he stated, “We have noticed that some of you are involved in illegal activities. Some Sole Administrators allocate land, sell government assets, and make appointments without the state government’s approval.
“You are expected to stay within your designated roles. Do not allocate or sell any government assets within your jurisdiction,” he cautioned.
