The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., has strongly condemned the attack carried out by suspected bandits on the Anguwar Dankali community in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State. During this attack, several residents were reportedly killed, and others were injured.

Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, issued a statement on Abbas’s behalf, where he declared that “enough is enough” in response to the ongoing violence in Zaria and other parts of the country. He called upon security agencies to take decisive action against the perpetrators.

Speaker Abbas expressed his deep sorrow over this latest attack and extended his condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the people and government of Kaduna State.

He also recalled with pain a previous attack in August in which some of his constituents lost their lives. The Speaker highlighted that these reported killings, not only in Zaria but also in various parts of the country, are unacceptable. He emphasized that it is the duty of the government to protect and safeguard the lives and property of Nigerians, as stipulated in the country’s constitution.

Speaker Abbas called upon security agencies to pursue the suspects, apprehend them, and ensure they face justice. He urged them to work diligently to prevent further loss of lives and property across the nation.
