Iraqi tragic Wedding fire claims  115 Lives

A devastating fire engulfed a wedding celebration in Iraq’s largest Christian town, Qaraqosh, resulting in a heartbreaking loss of at least 115 lives and leaving 200 others injured.

The fire, ignited by fireworks during the bride and groom’s dance, was exacerbated by highly flammable materials covering the banqueting hall.

Authorities have taken swift action, arresting 10 venue staff, the owner, and three individuals responsible for the fireworks.

Grief-stricken mourners gathered for a solemn funeral, honoring more than 40 victims in Qaraqosh, also known as al-Hamdaniya and Bakhdida.
