Zamfara Assembly demands closure of online paper over corruption allegations

The Zamfara State House of Assembly has demanded the immediate closure of Thunder Blower, an online paper company led by Dr. Anas Sani Anka.

This decision was prompted by the request of Majority Leader Honourable Bello Muhammad Mazawaje, seconded by Majority Chief Whip Honourable Rilwanu Marafa Nagmnbo Anka.

In the course of the discussion, all members unanimously condemned Anas Sani’s actions in an audio clip that had gone viral, viewing them as attempts to intimidate and make accusations against the legislature.

The consensus among the members was that legal measures should be pursued to address his unacceptable behavior of intimidating certain lawmakers.

The topic of debate revolved around Anas Sani Anka’s audio clip, which alleged bribery involving seventeen Assembly members.

After a thorough examination and final deliberation, Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly Honourable Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki announced that the House had reached a unanimous decision.

This decision involved engaging the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, with the objective of initiating legal proceedings against Anas Sani Anka for his attempt to blackmail all legislative members within the state.
