Honourable Mukhtar Nasiru, the representative for Kaura Namoda North at the Zamfara State House of Assembly appealed to the State Government for the reconstruction of the drainage system within Sarkin Baura Ward of the Kaura Namoda North Constituency.
This plea aimed to alleviate the difficulties arising from flooding, particularly during the rainy season, and to avert property damage and health-related issues.
Jikan Shehu emphasized the imperative need to rebuild the drainage network urgently. He highlighted its potential to effectively regulate the flooding that adversely impacts the inhabitants of both Sarkin Marafa and Sarkin Baura Ward within the Kaura Namoda North Constituency.
Adding their voices in support, Honourable Ibrahim Aminu, representing Kaura Namoda South, and Honourable Abubakar Bashir, representing Bukkuyum North, echoed their endorsement of the proposal.
They rallied their fellow members to unite behind the cause, urging the Zamfara State Government to undertake the reconstruction of the drainage system in both Sarkin Mafara and Sarkin Baura Ward of the Kaura Namoda North Constituency.
Following comprehensive deliberations and with a unanimous consensus reached among the assembly members, Speaker Rt. Honourable Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki once again directed Alhaji Shehu Saidu Anka, the Clerk of the House, to promptly issue the resolution to call upon the State Government to initiate the much-needed reconstruction of the drainage system in Sarkin Mafara and Sarkin Baura Ward within the Kaura Namoda North Constituency.
