Two Immigration Officers were fatally shot by bandits in Sokoto, and four other officers suffered gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred at Maman Suka along Illela road. Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, Mrs. Caroline Adepoju, confirmed the attack to Ruralpost on Wednesday.
“Two of my men were murdered in cold blood one from Sokoto, the other from Zamfara. I will collaborate with other security agencies to find and pull down the criminals.”
Mrs. Adepoju expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and assured that efforts would be made to ease their loss.
She visited the injured officer at the hospital, promising to cover their medical expenses and provide care.
