Nasarawa Police Command has initiated a search for gunmen responsible for the abduction of HRH Jibril Mamman Waziri, the Chief of Gurku in Karu local government area.
The incident, which occurred around 10pm, saw the gunmen also taking the Chief’s wife, Hajiya Sa’adatu Waziri.
The monarch’s residence, situated in the mountainous region of Guruku, approximately 10 kilometers from Mararraba near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, was targeted by the assailants while many residents were asleep.
The Nasarawa State Police Command is actively pursuing the attackers to apprehend them and ensure the safe return of the couple.
