Suspected bandits blocked Gusau-Talatan Mafara road in Zamfara state on Saturday and abducted several passengers.
Rural Post gathered that the abduction took place around the Mayanchi area at about 12 noon.
A journalist in the state, who craved anonymity, confirmed the attack to our reporter.
However, he noted that normalcy was restored in the area due to the deployment of security operatives.
“Travellers and commuters are now plying the road because of the presence of heavily armed security operatives,” he said.
Zamfara is among the northwestern states experiencing banditry.
