Residents of Kurmin Kaduna community mourned a tragic incident in which a woman drowned while attempting to cross a river on her way to a nearby community.
According to a source from the community, the canoe they were traveling in capsized in the middle of the river.
Reports indicate that four women were aboard the canoe, making their journey from Kurmin Kaduna community to Rafin Guza community when the accident occurred. Unfortunately, only one of them lost her life.
The victim’s body remains unrecovered from the river Daya since the occurrence of the accident.
