Two suspects arrested over railway slippers vandalisation in Kaduna

Two suspects have been apprehended in connection with the vandalism of railway slippers in Sanzwan Community, Zonkwa Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The State Police Command has recovered over 2000 pieces of the stolen slippers so far.

The State Police Command issued a statement signed by DSP Mohammed Jalige, the State Police Public Relations Officer, detailing the incident few days ago.

The statement explained that an unspecified number of unidentified individuals arrived in the area in an articulated vehicle and proceeded to vandalize the railway slippers.

Upon receiving the information, the police swiftly mobilized to the crime scene. The suspects, however, managed to escape, abandoning the vehicle and the stolen items.

But two persons were later arrested by the police a security  source confirmed to Ruralpost

The earlier statement by the police further revealed that two additional trucks, loaded with railway slippers, were recovered.
The police are intensifying their efforts to apprehend more of the fleeing suspects, and a thorough investigation will follow.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba, commended the courageous personnel for their swift action in halting the activities of the vandals.

 He also urged the public to promptly provide credible information to the police to aid in their efforts.
