From M.I. Kaduna
Prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engineer Kailani Muhammad, based in Kaduna, has revealed that the issue of oil theft in Nigeria involves not only the military but also certain traditional rulers and former governors in the Niger Delta region.
Muhammad, who serves as the National Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Network, made these revelations in response to recent allegations by Asari Dokubo, who claimed that a significant portion of oil theft in the Niger Delta region is carried out with the involvement of certain Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy officers.
Drawing attention to the longstanding problem, Muhammad emphasized that influential individuals among the traditional rulers and governors have been actively engaged in large-scale oil theft since as early as 1983.
He highlighted the immense power wielded by these figures and stressed the urgent need for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive action against anyone found complicit in sabotaging Nigeria’s primary source of revenue.
Muhammad emphasized the criticality of addressing this issue, considering the country’s heavy dependence on oil as a mono-economy, in order to fulfill Tinubu’s vision of restoring hope to the nation.
